Where are Stillwater Cottages located?
Stillwater Cottages are located on the shores of Lake Lucille in Wasilla, Alaska—just minutes from downtown. We are about an hour drive from the Anchorage airport.
How many cottages are there?
There are 2 one-bedroom cottages and 5 two-bedroom cottages. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed.
Are the cottages wheelchair accessible?
Arctic Grayling – a one-bedroom unit is wheelchair accessible.
What amenities are included with my stay?
Each cottage has its own barrel sauna. Guests have access to shared lakeside firepits, kayaks, playground and lawn area. All cottages include a full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, electric fireplace and smart TVs.
Is The Little Lakehouse included in my reservation?
The Little Lakehouse can be reserved for private use (like small events or dinners) for an additional fee. Let us know if you’d like to add it to your stay.
Can I book multiple cottages for a group stay?
Yes! Stillwater is perfect for retreats, reunions, or weddings. Reserve a few cottages or the entire property.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Dogs are welcomed for a small additional fee.

Is the lake swimmable?
The lake in front of Stillwater Cottages isn’t ideal for swimming, but the dock is a perfect spot to launch kayaks. For those wanting to take a dip, there’s a public park just down the street with a more swim-friendly shoreline—great for kids and families.
Is it noisy being near the highway and railroad tracks?
You may hear occasional traffic and the train passing a few times a day. That said, we’ve designed the property to help minimize noise and maintain a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Most guests find the setting tranquil and the views well worth it.
Can I host an event at Stillwater?
Absolutely. The Little Lakehouse is designed for intimate gatherings and is available to reserve. We also offer full-property buyouts for events—perfect for weddings, retreats, or celebrations.
Is there staff on-site?
We offer contactless check-in and are just a message away if you need anything during your stay. Our local team is always nearby and happy to help.
